Foreign Ministry: The African track has stalled in the talks on the Renaissance Dam due to Ethiopia's intransigence

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry confirmed that Egypt had made and demonstrated during the negotiations of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, great flexibility, taking into account the Ethiopian interests and achieving the interests of the three countries without harming the two downstream countries, considering that the water issue is an existential matter for the two downstream countries and it is not possible for any party to take unilateral measures, indicating This is inconsistent with the continuation of the negotiations.

In a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart in Cairo, Shukry indicated that Moscow has the ability to confirm to all parties the need to reach a solution, and the minister said: "We see, unfortunately, the African track stumbles due to Ethiopian intransigence."
